Home/Patio Covers
Built on site from real posts and cut rafters, set in concrete, braced for Oklahoma wind.
Built, not bolted together
A kit carport arrives flat-packed and gets anchored to your slab. It lasts until the first straight-line wind takes an interest in it.
John sets his posts in concrete, cuts the rafters and purlins to the span, and braces the frame before the roof goes on. He draws the thing first so you can see the pitch and the post positions before anybody digs a hole.

Decks and fence
These stairs had gray, splitting treads and a lattice rail that moved when you leaned on it. New cedar went in the same week.
